Hospital Waiting Lists

The NHS has been working hard to address the backlogs built up during
the COVID pandemic. As part of these plans, the NHS will be proactively contacting patients who have been waiting a long time for NHS funded treatment to remind them of their right to request to move to an alternative hospital where they may be seen quicker. 

From Tuesday 31^st October new digital portal called the Patient Initiated Digital Mutual Aid System (PIDMAS) will be introduced. Patients who have been waiting 40 weeks or more can use this portal to request an alternative choice of hospital.  

 Any patient who is eligible will receive either a SMS text message or a
letter from their current hospital explaining how to request to choose a
different hospital.

Please do not contact the practice regarding this process as we have no information regarding individual patients. 

The hospital will contact you if you are eligible. Please do not contact
them either.

websites.

NEW TELEPHONE  SYSTEM

The practice has installed a new telephone system. This will provide extra lines for improved communications both in and out of the practice. For training and verification purposes, calls will be recorded and retained for a period of 12 months prior to deletion.

ON-LINE ACCESS

Calls to the practice for clinical or administrative reasons can also be handled by our online Klinik system. This is for non-urgent communications for a response during opening hours. Response times by an appropriate member of our team will depend on submission times.

CCTV

For security reasons and to protect patients, a CCTV system has been installed at our Winterton and Burton-upon-Stather surgeries. These cameras will record external activity and data will be retained for a period of 30 days.

Dr Rebecca Clark

We would like to formally announce that Dr Rebecca Clark will be leaving the practice at the end of March 2024.

Dr R Clark has cared for patients at the practice for the last 20 years as well as being a member of the GP partnership team.  

Dr R Clark has taken a particular interest in training GP Registrars and supported many GPs over the years through their training. She has also taken a lead role supporting the nursing team.

She will be missed by patients and staff alike and I am sure everyone will join us in wishing Dr Clark well with her future endeavours and thank her for the contributions she has made to the practice and its patients.

Dr Andrew Clark

The practice would like to formally announce that Dr Andrew Clark  has left the practice at the end of September 2023.

Dr Clark has been a partner at the practice since 2002 and has worked alongside his partner colleagues to develop and improve the practice services for our patients. He has shown a particular interest in supporting/training our future GPs through the Hull & York Medical School. Dr Clark has provided care and support to many patients over the years, and I know that he will be missed.

I am sure everyone will join us in wishing Dr Clark well with his future endeavours and thank him for the contributions he has made to the practice and its patients.

Dr Chidubem Alache-Nwankwo

Winterton Medical Practice are delighted to announce that Dr Chidubem Alache-Nwankwo  became a GP Partner at the practice on 1^st October 2023. Many of you may have already met Dr Chidubem Alache-Nwankwo as she has been a Locum at Winterton surgery. I am sure our patients will join with us in welcoming her to the Partnership.
